As part of the same investment cycle, we integrated a new machine for automatic dip dyeing, which gives MJF 3D-printed parts a uniform black finish and a significantly more refined appearance.

Why MCS is not a standard 3D Printing provider
A traditional 3D printing bureau typically offers a wide range of technologies and materials. That is its strength, and it’s worth acknowledging.
We print exclusively in Nylon PA12 using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology. A deliberate and focused choice: in our experience, this combination of material and process represents the optimal solution for manufacturing mechanical components and enclosures for electronics, our field of expertise for over 40 years.
What a traditional bureau cannot offer is everything that comes after printing. Because a raw part, however well made, only goes so far. To turn it into a component worthy of a professional electronic instrument, it needs to be enhanced: surface finishing, painting, dyeing, screen printing, markings, precision CNC machining, technical labels, display lenses, membrane keypads.
All of this, at MCS, happens under one roof. With in-house processes, established expertise, and a project-oriented approach that starts by listening to the customer’s needs.
A technical partner, not just a supplier
This is the real difference. MCS is a manufacturing company with cross disciplinary know-how in developing solutions for electronics. 3D printing is one of our processes, not the only one. And precisely because of this, we can support customers with specialist technical consulting that a pure bureau, by its very nature, is not structured to provide.
When the prototype works and the project evolves (and it always does) there are many possible paths forward:
- Stay with 3D printing, refining the component with post-processing and professional finishing;
- Move to solid CNC machining, in plastic or aluminium, when performance or volume requirements call for it;
- Evolve toward injection moulding, when the numbers justify it.
In each of these scenarios, you don’t need to change supplier. The idea develops, the project grows, the partner stays the same. This is a concrete advantage in terms of continuity, technical consistency, and speed of execution.
