Customization of a Hammond 1591XXFSFLBK Commercial Enclosure

In this project, a standard Hammond commercial enclosure was customized to meet specific dimensional, functional, and aesthetic requirements.

The goal was to achieve an enclosure with the same footprint as the original model, while significantly reducing its overall height compared to the standard version, which features an approximate thickness of 58 mm.

What was developed

• Reduction of enclosure height through CNC machining of one of the two shells.
• Production of a new PVC base machined from sheet material using CNC milling, necessary to replace the original base after enclosure modification.
• Side milling of the lid for board connection holes.
• Liquid coating of the entire enclosure.
• Direct digital printing on the lid with graphic pattern, logo, and connection indicators.
