Design and manufacture of a custom electronics enclosure with an integrated membrane switch, developed to meet the customer’s specific requirements in terms of internal components, display integration and ergonomics.
The enclosure was produced in PA12 using 3D printing, with a textured surface finish on both long sides to enhance grip and improve ergonomics during use.
The enclosure features interchangeable side panels, allowing different connection configurations to accommodate the electronics used, while keeping the main enclosure body unchanged.
A 3D-printed PA12 spacer ensures electrical insulation of the electronic board, as well as the correct positioning and secure mounting of the display.
We also manufactured a custom membrane switch with screen-printed graphics, a transparent window aligned with the display, and Polydome tactile press buttons.
The membrane switch is mounted on a CNC-machined polycarbonate panel, produced from sheet material and serving both as the switch support and as the enclosure cover.
This project combines mechanical design and manufacturing of the enclosure and its components with the design and production of the membrane switch, integrating all elements to meet the requirements of the electronics, display and final assembly.
