A commercial enclosure would have required too many compromises, while a fully plastic solution would not have provided the necessary thermal dissipation. This led us to choose an enclosure machined from solid aluminium. <\/p>\n\n
There is also an economic reason behind this decision. When a fully customized design is required in medium-to-small production volumes, machining from solid material eliminates the initial investment in tooling.
