Dear readers,
With this post, a little different from the usual, I want to tell you about an unforgettable event that crowns an important milestone for MCS: on September 1st we celebrated with joy and pride our 40 years of business activity. I would therefore like to share with you some special moments that have made this evening truly unique.
First of all, the location. I wanted something unusual and particular, linked to our territory. In the end the choice fell on the “Casa Rupestre La Sengia” in Zovencedo (VI), a house carved into the rock, surrounded by the beauty of the Berici Hills and by greenery.
This charming place, located near an abandoned quarry now converted to a museum of stone, has made the atmosphere even more magical.
Being an outdoor event, until the last day I crossed my fingers following the weather forecast, but in the end the weather smiled, giving us a wonderful evening, accompanied by good food and good music, thanks to the folk, rock and blues rhythms of a young band.
The participation was extraordinary, about 250 people, with customers and suppliers who also came from outside the Region: from Genoa, from areas of Friuli on the border with Slovenia, Emilia, Trento, Bolzano.
Beyond the pure convivial moment, I was happy to see the enthusiasm and involvement of all the participants.
Every handshake, every smile has been a source of joy and satisfaction.
It was the opportunity to see employees, customers and suppliers outside the working environment, a moment to strengthen the ties with those who made it possible to achieve this important goal.
Have you ever experienced those moments when everything is perfect? This evening was one of those moments: I was in my hometown, surrounded by my family, long-time friends, collaborators, customers and suppliers, listening to my favorite music. Personally, I could not ask for more.
Among the unforgettable episodes I would like to remember the photos of the participants inside a portable frame with the MCS logo: a real race of sympathy and originality.
Our collaborators also surprised my parents, my sister and to me with a special gift: a print with their photos and at the center a motivational acrostic formed by the letters MCS DUE.
Then it was time for the speech. To tell the truth I was a little prepared, but the emotion made a clean slate in my mind. So, I went off the cuff, sharing my emotions.
A special thanks went to Giovanni Frison, historical memory of the company, who literally saw me grow.
I can’t forget the poster that highlighted the evolutionary stages of MCS. You won’t believe it, but in making it I discovered details of our history from my parents that I didn’t know. Many people have written dedications and messages to you underlining once again the appreciation and affection of those who have walked alongside us in these 40 years of activity.
I would like to thank all those who contributed to the organization of the event, especially my family and my staff.
A greeting also goes to those who, for various reasons, could not attend. There will certainly be another opportunity to celebrate together.
These 40 years of activity are an arrival but also the beginning of a future path. Thank you all for your support and I hope that you will continue to accompany us on this journey. We will continue to work with the passion, seriousness and commitment that have always characterized us.
