Customized electronics enclosure made with 3D printing processes, processing of PVC milled from sheet and with a digitally printed polyester overlay.
An innovative solution that combines precision, functionality and design.
Our implementation processes:
- Finalising the customer’s project.
- Production of the front panel, machined from PVC sheet, with inserts and studs for fixing the electronic boards.
- Embossed polyester membrane, with graphics made by digital printing process.
- 3D printed shell, in rough finish and blackened by impregnation (basic aesthetic treatment, economical, alternative to painting, but extremely functional)
Tips & Tricks
To facilitate use and installation, we have inserted magnets into the 3D shell. This solution allows the tool to be easily attached to the metal housing of the machine, improving practicality and handling.
This type of solution is ideal for batches from 25-50-100 pieces/lot.
Why?
- Because with machining entirely from solid material, some shaped details would be difficult to achieve.
- Because machining entirely from solid would lead to significant material waste due to chip removal in CNC milling.
- Because the alternative of mould production would require significant investment in equipment, with recommended batches starting from 500 pieces per lot. Despite a lower unit cost, it’s essential to consider the amortization of non-recurring costs, taking into account production estimates and the continuity of reordering over time.
